Twitch welcomes the new look Football Weekly Podcast to Belfast with a fresh lineup including a new host in the form of Soccer AM’s Max Rushden, a new producer, Jonathan Fisher, two new panelists in The Blizzard’s Jonathan Wilson and France Football’s Philippe Auclair. We do welcome back the familiar face of fans favourite and deputy sports editor at The Guardian, Barry Glendenning.

A Belfast debut for Football Weekly’s new host Max Rushden. Best known for presenting the Soccer AM show on Sky Sports between 2008 and 2015 Max also has a weekly Talksport show as well as making regular appearances on BBC 5 Live. In 2017 he took over as host of the Football Weekly podcast ushering in a new era of the show.
Football writer, Sunderland supporter, minute-by-minute updater, deputy sports editor at The Guardian are just some of Barry’s current array of roles in the world of sport, he also claims to have written for bad television programmes and once also lost a poll 49% to 51% with a chimp as to who would be the better guest on Max Rushden’s Talksport show. We are proud to welcome the legend that is Barry Glendenning back to Belfast again.
Jonathan is a sports writer and author known for his work with The Guardian, The Independent, Sports Illustrated, World Soccer and he is also the founder and editor of The Blizzard. Wilson is also the main contributor to The Guardian feature “The Question” in which analyses trends and evolutions in modern football. His book Inverting the Pyramid was shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year in 2008, and won 'Best Football Book' at the British Sports Book Awards in 2009. This will be Jonathan’s first trip to Belfast with Football Weekly!
A man of many talents, Philippe Auclaire balances being a sports correspondent and journalist with his other career as a singer-songwriter, producer and musician. In the world of football Philippe has been the English correspondent for France Football Magazine since 1999. Also known as the French football analyst on Setanta sports as well as regular appearances on Talksport, Newstalk, BBC Five Live and of course the Football Weekly podcast.
His biography of Eric Cantona, Cantona — The Rebel Who Would Be King was long-listed for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year award in September 2009, and was the joint winner of the 'Best Football Book' category of the British Sports Book Awards in March 2010. His second biography, an account of Thierry Henry's life and career entitled Lonely At The Top was also long-listed for the 2013 William Hill Prize.

The man behind the scenes, producer of the Football Weekly podcast, Jonathan Fisher will join us on stage for the show and his Belfast debut. Primarily responsible for football-related video content for The Guardian Youtube channel and website, Jonathan took over the production of the podcast in 2017.
